Enter our Annual Student Poster Competition


MGA announces its annual poster session to be held at the Spring Forum on Aging:


2020 and Beyond: Continuing the Louis Lowy Legacy
Thursday, April 29, 2020, Boston University's Hillel House
213 Bay State Road, Boston, MA


The event provides students with an opportunity to present their scholarship, receive recognition for their work, and meet local professionals in the aging field.


Cash prizes are awarded to the best poster presentations with the winners announced at the meeting.


Poster submission requirements:


  • Applicants must be a member of MGA, and a current graduate or undergraduate student or have graduated after December 1, 2019. All students members receive a complimentary Forum registration.
  • Lead authors must be active students or recent graduates; Non-students may be listed as secondary authors.
  • Posters may involve research, policy analyses, or descriptions of best practices in the aging field.
  • Applicants must submit a 200-word abstract describing their project. Abstracts must include the names of authors, institutional affiliations and e-mail addresses.
  • Lead authors of accepted posters are expected to attend the annual meeting to present their posters.


Poster abstracts must be submitted to
by March 27, 2020.
 Acceptance notices will be e-mailed by April 3, 2020.


Poster submissions will be evaluated with respect to readability, potential for contribution to the field, originality, significance of the student contribution, and professional insight shown. A member panel will judge accepted posters at the conference to determine the award winners.
